Ode to DH!

It's done! My new room is finished - and let me start by giving kudos to DH who worked for 12 straight hours yesterday to make it happen.

We started about 9:00 AM, hauling stuff out of the room which looked like this:

After we cleared everything out, we painted, let it dry and then DH assembled my new desk and book shelf. Then we hauled everything back into the room and it ended up looking like this:

Today he hooked up all my cables and what not so I can use all my stuff and here I am, back in cyber world! The cats have already taken over the chair, but later I hope to evict them and actually sit down and relax in my new space. Saber has been moved to the living room - he's not happy there, though, so we may end up getting him a new bed and moving him back into the den once all my junk is properly dispersed.

Now we both need a week of rest to recover, but it was well worth all the effort.

I predict this will be a very productive space for you. Looks great!

Ooh, an office! Do you know how long it's been since I've had a desk and chair? Me either. But I'm sure it's been over, um...6 years.

I love the area. With a reading chair by the window too! I'm totally jealous of the cushy desk chair. *wooden chairs are not the chair if you are a writer* sniff

It turned out so well, I can't bear to leave it. I wish I didn't have to go to work today.

You wouldn't happen to be renting him out, would ya? ;) Not that I could pay much, but a 12 pack of beer and some pizza :D It looks great! I always work better when everythign is organized...which would explain why I've not finished anything of late! :D
