I saw this article today at msnbc.com about the trend for romance novel sales to increase in a recession.
It's nice to know some things are looking up.
Here's a question - in the face of economic uncertainty do you buy more books? Romances or just books in general? I tend to use book purchases for medicinal purposes. When I'm bummed, depressed, etc, I go book shopping. Also when I'm happy and in possession of some extra, unexpected money, I go book shopping. So basically I don't really need an excuse to buy books, or any excuse will do.
I don't think I've bought more books since the recession hit, but I certainly haven't bought any less. How about you?
